In P.E for the start of this year we were learning athletics. We were divided into small groups and we picked some events to practice on each period. I kept on doing high jump because I really like it plus I wanted to get a higher jump. I practiced and practiced for weeks in the gym with shoes on at high jump and could only get a jump as high as 1m 35. But on athletics day which was yesterday I tried to jump without shoes and I got 1m 45. Last year I only knew how to scizzor jump and could only jump 1m 30 but this year i've only grown like 5 cm but got 15 cm higher by doing the fosbry flop. I think the fosbry flop Is way easier because It takes less effort and you jump higher. Overall I think that athletics has been good this year I did a running event aswell, it was 200 m sprint. In the 200 m I got 2nd out of 3 people. I'm not that happy about my race though but I'm pretty proud that I jumped 1m 45 seeing as im only 160 cm's tall. I think I did pretty good this year and I enjoyed athletics a lot especially athletics day.
